GEFOMA GmbH planned the construction of a test facility dedicated to the cultivation of plants under controlled environmental conditions at the IGZ Großbeeren branch location. This test facility is designed to allow the simultaneous testing of symbiosis or opposition (e.g. competition) with microorganisms.

This structure is known as a phytotron. It consists of three sub-units (SU), where the environmental conditions can be precisely regulated and controlled.

SU 01 – Gas exchange greenhouse (515 m²)
SU 02 – Pot experiment facility (190 m²)

SU 03 – Environmental chamber building including the chambers (425 m²)

SU 01 04/2013 – 06/2014

SU 02 10/2012 – 03/2013

SU 03  10/2012 –  04/2013
